Grace Youth

Purpose of Grace Youth
The purpose of any Christian ministry is to give God glory. It
includes seeing teenagers as essential members of the body of
Christ. As we reach out to them in love, demonstrating
acceptance and understanding, we begin the process of channeling
their creative energy for Christ. As we model godly living we
help them understand God’s active involvement in day to day
living. As we lay our lives on the line for them, they begin to
see their worth to God. Only when we see teenagers as people
with real needs can we begin to have an effect on them. They
must become more than numbers or programs. They must become
young people for whom Christ died.
Target of Grace Youth
We must challenge students to personal growth through the
enabling power of the Holy Spirit, so their lives will reflect:
-
Respect, love and dependance on God and His word.
(worship, teaching & doctrinal purity)
-
Friendships of integrity (accountability & caring
relationships)
-
Sharing their faith (being real, a missionary on campus &
at home)
-
Involvement in church (serving, small groups & body life)
-
Ownership of faith, making their faith their own
(humility,
commitment & holiness)
The
focus of ministry is people, not programs.
Philosophy of Ministry
-
The foundation for Grace Youth is our Lord Jesus Christ, not
human activity.
-
The guide for Grace Youth is the Bible, not human wisdom.
-
The focus of Grace Youth is people, not programs.
- The
goal of Grace Youth is to mature Christians, not simply
outreach.
- The
environment for Grace Youth is body life, not individualism.
-
The
process of Grace Youth is spiritual reproduction, not
spiritual additions.
