Tim Theule - Lead Pastor
tim@graceslo.org  543-2358 x 106

Tim was born and raised in Southern California. He trusted Jesus Christ as a child and was actively involved in Campus Crusade for Christ throughout high school and his college years at UC Santa Barbara. After receiving a B.A. in Business Economics at UCSB, Tim went on to pursue a Masters of Divinity degree at Talbot School of Theology. Before coming to Grace, Tim served for 10 years at the Evangelical Free Church of Laguna Hills. During that time, he was both licensed and ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of America. After  a wild and wondrous soul-searching process, sensing the clear call of God, Tim became Grace's fifth Senior Pastor in March 2003.

Tim is passionate about the power of the Gospel to transform lives, families and communities here on the Central Coast! He's committed to the centrality of the Gospel, the doctrines of grace, relevant expository preaching, and authentic, multi-generational community. His desire is that Grace become "a church in the community, for the community" as we live and apply the Gospel throughout all life, in all relationships, in all circumstances.

Tim and his wife, Susie, were married in 1993. Susie is a licensed clinical psychologist and Tim's balancing factor in ministry. Together they have four great kids; Sage, Eden, Ezekiel and Haaken. In his free time, Tim enjoys surfing, mountain biking, reading and gardening.

Steve Leonard- Adult Ministries Pastor
steve@graceslo.org   543-2358 x 121

Steve grew up in Fresno, CA (don't hold it against him!) and trusted Jesus Christ his sophomore year of high school through Young Life Ministries.  Following his conversion, he got involved with the youth ministry at the Evangelical Free Church in Fresno where he served as a volunteer and intern through college.  Graduating from Fresno State in 1997 with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Classical Studies, Steve attended Talbot School of Theology and served as High School Director at the Evangelical Free Church of Laguna Hills.  After receiving his M. Div. From Talbot in 2001, Steve served full time as Assistant Pastor at Pacific View Baptist Church and Associate Pastor of Youth and Families at Valley Evangelical Free Church.  Steve came on staff as Adult Ministries a Pastor at Grace in May of 2005.

Steve is committed to the Gospel and it's power to work a ministry of reconciliation in human relationships with God, other people, one's self and with God's creation.  The Gospel is not only a message of salvation for lost sinners, but it is a message of total transformation that begins with the unbeliever and continues to operate throughout the course of the believer's life.

He and his wife, Lisa, reside in Los Osos with their two wonderful boys, David and Matthias.  David was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and has taught Steve and Lisa a great deal about God's grace.  Steve enjoys reading, playing with his little guys, time with friends, yard work and running.
